Carly Olson is the Director of Research and Media for Lyceum Leadership Consulting. Carly applies strategic understanding and research methods to identify superior leadership talent for our client companies. She also directs our firm’s media productions including our search project media tools encompassed in Search Reimagined®, as well as our educational media programming, including our popular podcast, A CEO’s Virtual Mentor®.
Before Lyceum, Carly worked as an attorney at O’Connell, Tivin, Griffin & Burns, LLC as an associate attorney representing manufacturers and suppliers in the industrial equipment, mechanical seal, automotive supplier, and injection mold industries in civil litigation, including toxic tort, product liability, and personal injury cases. She specialized in legal research and writing, which helped gain favorable dismissals in both federal and state-level cases.
Carly holds a JD from the Northwestern University School of Law, where she received the Wigmore Scholarship, the highest scholarship offered by the law school. While in law school, Carly worked for The Honorable Virginia Kendall of the Northern District of Illinois and in the appellate division of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office. Carly also holds a BS in Theater and Fiction Writing from Northwestern University.
In addition, Carly writes plays, short stories, and web series. She improvises with The Gift Theatre’s in-house improv ensemble, Natural Gas, and has trained and performed at The Second City and improvOlympic.
